PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of correcting deformation in projecting an image on a screen without requiring complicated user operation, with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: display control means which causes a projection apparatus for projecting an image on a projection surface to project a correction image; imaging data acquisition means which acquires imaging data obtained by imaging the correction image projected by the projection apparatus; determination means which arranges the correction image represented by imaging data acquired by the imaging data acquisition means on a coordinate plane, and determines which of a function representing a straight line and a function representing a curve is to be used for correcting an image on the basis of a distance between the correction image and at least one of a line represented by the function representing the straight line and a line represented by the function representing the curve; and correction means which corrects the image to be projected by the projection apparatus controlled by the display control means, by use of one of the function representing the straight line and the function representing the curve, according to a determination result of the determination means. |
