PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered body capable of providing an industrial tool having excellent abrasion resistance when used as the industrial tool, and a method of manufacturing the sintered body.SOLUTION: A sintered body contains a ceramic powder containing aluminum, chromium and nitrogen, and the ceramic powder has a maximum peak intensity of an X ray diffraction line of a cubic crystal AlCrN, IAlCrN, a maximum peak intensity of the X ray diffraction line of a hexagonal crystal AlN, IhAlN, and a maximum peak intensity of the X ray diffraction line of a hexagonal crystal CrN, IhCrN satisfying IAlCrN>0.1×IhAlN and IAlCrN>0.1×IhCrN. |
