A glass plate working apparatus 1 includes: a cutter wheel 11 for scribe forming on an upper surface 16 of a glass plate 2 a scribe groove line 9 which is constituted by a closed curved and is directed in a thickness direction of the glass plate 2 in such a manner as to be inclined toward an inner region of the closed curved; a pressing mechanism for pressing an outer region of the closed curved on the glass plate 2 from a side of the upper surface 16 of the glass plate 2; and a removing mechanism 81 for sucking and lifting the inner region of the closed curved on the glass plate 2 from the side of the upper surface 16 of the glass plate 2 to bend the glass plate 2 in an upwardly protruding manner and allow a scribe groove to reach a lower surface of the glass plate 2, and removing the inner region of the scribe groove line 9.
