摘要 A position estimation device includes: a position estimation unit that estimates current position coordinates of the position estimation device; a pointing direction detection unit that detects a pointing direction pointed by a user using the position estimation device; a pointing target detection unit that detects a pointing target pointed by the user, based on the detected pointing direction; a concentration calculation unit that specifies, as a concentrated area, an area in which a position pointed in the detected pointing direction in a predetermined time period immediately before the pointing target is detected is included for at least a threshold time period and in which the pointing target is not present, and calculates a concentrated direction which is from the position of the position estimation device in the predetermined time period to the concentrated area; and a position correction unit that corrects the current position coordinates using the calculated concentrated direction.
