The device has a pot-shaped bit including a cylindrical pot-shaped downwardly opened body (12). A horizontal planar anvil surface (13) is provided on an upper surface of the downwardly opened body, and a cut point (11) is provided parallel to the planar anvil surface while an opened lower side is provided on the planar anvil surface. A free inner chamber (15) receives excavated soil materials. Outer diameter and cutting height (14) of the pot-shaped bit are provided corresponding to outer diameter and height of a dowel bell. An independent claim is also included for a method for realizing partly preformed holes for an insertion of a tubular base dowel with pot-shaped upper flange and lower driving tip in stone or hard base.
