A wall having a stiffener integrally formed therein is provided. The stiffener includes a first side panel that extends from the wall, a second side panel that extends from the wall, and an intermediate panel that extends between the first side panel and the second side panel. The first and second side panels and the intermediate panel at least substantially enclose a cavity there between. A method for integrally forming the stiffener in the wall includes the steps of: (a) providing the wall; (b) forming the wall to provide the first and second side panels and the intermediate panel of the stiffener; and (c) bending at least one of the first and second side panels and the intermediate panel of the stiffener so that they at least substantially enclose a cavity there between. |
