PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure having a configuration not using a foundation pile for prevention of ground subsidence and capable of achieving size increase of a communication space, and a construction method for the structure.SOLUTION: In a structure, a shallow layer improvement soil part is provided in a ground surface, a pair of reinforced earth retaining walls facing each other having wall surfaces made by soil or a steel frame are provided on the shallow layer improvement soil part. When a communication space emergence part having a "&pgr;(pai)-type" integral structure is constructed between the reinforced earth retaining walls, vertical walls of the communication space emergence part are located inside the reinforced earth retaining walls and a communication space is made to appear on the shallow layer improvement soil part, and a soil cover and a road surface are formed on the upper part of the communication space emergence part. A construction method for the structure includes: a work step of providing the shallow layer improvement soil part on the ground surface; a work step of providing the reinforced earth retaining walls on the shallow layer improvement soil part; a work step of constructing the communication space emergence part between the reinforced earth retaining walls and making the communication space appear above the shallow layer improvement soil part; and a work step of forming the soil cover and the road surface are formed on the upper part of the communication space emergence part. |
