PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict an in-cylinder pressure after internal combustion engine stop, using an in-cylinder pressure sensor having a piezoelectric element.SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine including an in-cylinder pressure sensor having a piezoelectric element, in a case where an in-cylinder pressure does not vary in a predetermined period included in a period from stop of the internal combustion engine to next start, the output of the in-cylinder pressure sensor at a predetermined time in the predetermined period is predicted. An in-cylinder pressure at the predetermined time is calculated according to an in-cylinder pressure at a start time in the predetermined period, the output value of the in-cylinder pressure sensor in the predetermined time, and the predicted output prediction value of the in-cylinder pressure sensor. |
