PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control operation of a light emission unit which illuminates a display screen on a portable terminal to be attached to a user.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 to be attached to an attachment site of a user includes: a display screen 12; a light emission unit 13 that illuminates the display screen 12; a detection sensor 14 that detects an operating state of the attachment site or a posture of the portable terminal 1; and a switching unit 164 that switches light emission intensity of the light emission unit 13 on the basis of a detection result of the detection sensor 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
