The invention discloses a door closer, which can be used to inhibit the fire hazard because of the working oil attached to the door in the high temperature condition without damaging the appearance of the door closer. The door closer (1) is provided with a rotating shaft (20) capable of rotating along with the opening/closing motion of a door (104); a housing (4) provided with a closed space (4a) filled with the working oil; a piston (11), which is disposed in the closed space (4a) by carrying out the reciprocating motion under the force application state of a piston force application mechanism (12); a piston driving mechanism (17) capable of converting the rotation motion of a rotating shaft (20)into the linear motion. A screw (41) made of resin is used to close a working oil exhaust way (38) used for exhausting the working oil. A spring (42)is accommodated in the working oil exhaust way (38), and when the screw (41) is dissolved, a part of the spring (42) is protruded out from the lower surface wall (8) of the housing (4). |
