PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box for housing an electric apparatus in which waterproofness has been improved furthermore, and intrusion of rain water can be prevented furthermore.SOLUTION: A hood body 12 of a hood 11 is provided with an extension 15b by extending a part of a side plate 15 downward, open parts 13b, 23b are provided between the inner edges 15e, 15e of the extension 15, and when the hood 11 is attached to the box 1, they are opened toward the surface side of the box 11. When compared with a conventional one provided with an open part in the lower surface, rain water is difficult to intrude into the hood 11 via the open part 13b. Even if intruding into the hood 11, the rain water strikes the inner surface of an outer plate 17 erecting substantially vertically, and drained from the open part 13b to the outside of the hood 11 along the surface of outer plate 17 and a bottom plate 18. Consequently, intrusion of water into the box 1 can be prevented more reliably than conventional, and a box 1 of high waterproofness can be obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
