There is provided a linear guide apparatus in which the leak of a lubricant hardly occurs and an excellent sealing performance is achieved. The linear guide apparatus includes a retainer (8) for retaining plural cylindrical rollers (3) rotatably in a rolling element rolling passage (13). The retainer (8) includes an opening portion (33) and accommodates for retention of the plural cylindrical rollers (3) in the opening portion (33). The retainer (8) also includes an endless seal unit (40) surrounding the opening portion (33). The seal unit (40) includes an inward facing lip (40a) inclining toward the inner side of the opening portion (33) and extending toward the guide rail (1) to be in sliding contact with the guide rail (1). The inward facing lip (40a) is formed continuously all around the seal unit (40). The seal unit (40) includes an outward facing lip (40b) inclining toward the outer side of the opening portion (33) and extending toward the guide rail (1) to be in sliding contact with the guide rail (1), in addition to the inward facing lip (40a).
