PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner capable of achieving low-temperature fixability, heat-resistant preservability and a high level of image quality.SOLUTION: There is provided an electrophotographic toner which contains at least a binder resin and a coloring agent, in which the binder resin is a crystalline resin, the coloring agent is a pigment which is surface-treated with a resin for surface treatment obtained by mixing an amorphous resin and a crystalline resin, and the resin for surface treatment is a resin having insolubility defined by the following definition. [Insolubility]: When the toner is mixed by adding 40 pts.wt. of the resin for surface treatment based on 100 pts.wt. of ethyl acetate, the mixture becomes clouded at 50°C or becomes clouded when left alone for 12 hours at 50°C even if the mixture becomes a transparent solution without becoming cloudy at 50°C. |
