PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for a light guide by which light is efficiently made incident on a light guide with a wide incident end face and propagating light can be radiated despite a simple optical system.SOLUTION: A light source device 1 for a light guide that radiates light made incident on an optical fiber 9, which is an example of a light guide, comprises: a face light source unit 10 that radiates substantially parallel light in a planar form; and first and second diffuser plates 12 and 14 that give a diffusing angle &thetas; to the planar, substantially parallel light within a range of incident angle &bgr; defined by the aperture number of the optical fiber 9. |
