A connector (3) in which a waterproof structure (1) for the connector is adopted is provided with: a housing (5); a shielded electrical wire (7) extending from the housing (5); a shielding terminal (9) having one end engaging with the housing (5) while the shielded wire (7) passes through the inside of the one end, the shielding terminal (9) also having the other end joined to the shielding interwoven wires (25) of the shielded electrical wire (7); a seal material (11) for sealing the gap between the engagement sections of both the housing (5) and the shielding terminal (9); and a seal cap (13) having one end engaging with the shielding terminal (9) while a portion of the shielding terminal (9), the portion being located on the other end side of the shielding terminal (9), is disposed on the inside of the one end, the seal cap (13) also having the other end engaging with the outer cover body (27) of the shielded electrical wire (7) while the shielded electrical wire (7) passes through the inside of the other end, the seal cap (13) sealing, by means of the engagement sections, the joint (31) where the shielding terminal (9) and the shielding interwoven wires (25) are joined. |
