A dispersion comprising a liquid medium and an encapsulated particulates solid wherein each particle of the particulate solid is encapsulated within a cross-linked dispersant shell, the dispersant comprising a copolymerized monomer composition comprising at least ethylenically unsaturated monomers (a), (b), (c) and (d) where (a) is 0.1 to 30 parts of one or more monomers of Formula (1) wherein R1 is H or CH3, R2 is H or C1-30 alkyl and n is 1 or more, (b) is 45 to 95 parts of one or more monomers of Formula (2) wherein R3 is H or CH3 and R4 is a C6-30 alkyl group, (c) is 5 to 30 parts of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers having one or more ionic groups and (d) is 0.1 to 15 parts of one or more monomers of Formula (3) wherein R5 is H or CH3 , such that the parts are by weight and the sum of all the monomers present in the monomer composition adds up to 100. Ideally (a) is polypropylene glycol (n=5) methacrylate, (b) is 2-ethyl hexyl methacrylate, (c) is methacrylic acid and (d) is benzyl methacrylate. The particles may be a yellow pigment.
