PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet metal coupling method by which first and second sheet metals can be firmly brought into pressure contact with each other, while projection quantity of a spot swollen part formed in sheet metal pairs are suppressed.SOLUTION: There is provided the sheet metal coupling method by which newly generated surfaces appeared by area expansion of superposing surfaces 101a and 102a of first and second sheet metals 101 and 102 can be brought into slide contact with each other while the newly generated surfaces are strongly pressed by pressing force of a pin 24 and back pressure of a back padding plate 30, since pressing by a pin 24 from the first sheet metal 101 side is performed while the back padding plate 30 is interposed between a lower holding block 13 and the second sheet metal 102, and the back pressure for agglutinating the first and second sheet metals 101 and 102 is imparted to the second sheet metal 102 from the back padding plate 30, while recessing the back padding plate 30 by the spot swollen part 100a projected on a back face 102b of the second sheet metal 102. |
