PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus correcting gradient magnetic field distortion caused by not only an eddy current but also that a frequency component of a gradient magnetic field pulse is high.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a pulse signal generation part generating a gradient magnetic field waveform signal based on a prescribed pulse sequence; gradient magnetic field coils each input with the gradient magnetic field waveform signal, and applying a gradient magnetic field to a subject; and a reconstruction part reconstructing a magnetic resonance signal spatially encoded by the gradient magnetic field to generate an image of the subject. The pulse signal generation part generates the gradient magnetic field waveform signal such that the gradient magnetic field waveform signal counteracts waveform distortion of the gradient magnetic field generated by the non-flatness of an impedance frequency property of each gradient magnetic field coil as a signal of a waveform deformed to a desired waveform of the gradient magnetic field applied form each gradient magnetic field coil. |
