PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-repellent alumina sol which is the most suitable for formation of a water-repellent alumina film having transparency and water repellency, and having high hardness of 6H or more in pencil hardness, to provide a water repellency alumina film utilizable as antifouling protective film for many kinds of material, because the water repellency alumina film has transparency and water repellency having high hardness of 6H or more in pencil hardness, and to provide a production method of the water repellency alumina film which can be formed by a simple method.SOLUTION: This water repellency alumina sol has an aspect ratio (mean fiber length/mean fiber width) of 100-750, and includes alumina nano-fiber combined with a fluoroalkyl-siloxy group. By using this water-repellent alumina sol, the water-repellent alumina film is formed and this production method is given. |
