627,035. Folding &c. fabrics. CAVIN & CO. Oct. 30, 1946, No. 32165. Convention date, Nov. 2, 1945. [Class 42 (ii)] [Also in Groups IX and XIII] Rigid, non-sagging structures of glass fibres are formed by winding continuous glass fibres on a reel (see Group IX). The reel may consist of struts 7 adjustable in holes 8 in side parts 5, removably-mounted in open bearings 4. When a pack 17 has been wound, a side part 5 may be removed and the pack slid off the struts. The reel may be manually or electrically driven. In a modification, four walls of a box may be slidably mounted between the end parts to contain short fibres, to act as a filling to the pack. |
