The purpose of the present invention is to provide a microwell plate, which is capable of favorably forming cell aggregates and which secures an adequate well volume, and provided is a microwell plate equipped with wells that have openings that open on one surface, wherein: the wells demarcate spaces formed from the openings towards the interior of the microwell plate and the spaces have an opening end portion, a bottom end portion formed from the opening end portion towards the interior of the microwell plate, and a transitional portion (43) for smoothly connecting the opening end portion (41) to the bottom end portion (42); the transverse cross-section of the opening end portion has a polygonal shape; and the bottom end portion is formed so that the transverse cross-sectional area decreases gradually towards the interior. |
