Disclosed is a ripping-avoidance method of knitting yarn. The method ensures a sufficient ripping-avoidance effect with a simple step by using a flat knitting machine, wherein a plurality of knitting needles are arranged in rows, each knitting needle has a transfer spring on one side of the needle shaft. An unusable knitting yarn end (29), which is generated when switching a first knitting yarn (1) which is supplied by a first yarn port and a second knitting yarn (2) which is supplied by a second yarn port (4), is processed in the middle of the knitting of a knitted fabric. Under the definition that a side with the transfer spring of each knitting needle is a transfer spring side and one side without the transfer spring is an opposite transfer spring side, the second knitting yarn is supplied to the opposite transfer spring side, a split-knitting with respect to the first knitting yarn and the second knitting yarn is carried out by a specific mesh (12) in the mesh of a knitted fabric portion hanging on a needle bed. A second new loop (23) which is continued to the specific mesh (12) is formed with the second knitting yarn. The second new loop (23) is overlapped with the first new loop (21) of the opposing needle bed. |
