PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing polymer compound which can obtain a sufficient surface tension-adjusting effect in any of aqueous system/non-aqueous system, especially can achieve a coating agent excellent in leveling property and recoating property in an aqueous system small in environmental loads.SOLUTION: A method for producing a fluorine-containing polymer compound comprises a step of starting the polymerization of a reaction system (wherein, the total mass of the monomer compounds represented by general formulas (1)-(3) is 100 pts.mass) comprising 20-50 pts.mass of a monomer compound represented by general formula (1), 15-60 pts.mass of a monomer compound represented by general formula (2), 15-60 pts.mass of a monomer compound represented by general formula (3), a polymerization initiator having a 10 hours half-life temperature of 50-90°C, and an aliphatic alcohol as a reaction solvent, wherein the total concentration of the monomer compounds is 5-25 mass%, at a temperature higher by 10-30°C than the 10 hours half-life temperature of the polymerization initiator, and a step of once or more times or continuously additionally supplying an additional polymerization pre-composition comprising 20-50 pts.mass of the monomer compound represented by general formula (1), 15-60 pts.mass of the monomer compound represented by general formula (2), 15-60 pts.mass of the monomer compound represented by general formula (3), and the polymerization initiator having a 10 hours half-life temperature of 50-90°C to the polymerization-started reaction system in a range that the total concentration of the monomer compounds in the reaction system is 5-25 mass%, when added. |
