PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic coating method of a brake pad, without thickening a film thickness of a metallic back plate, by sufficiently sticking powdered paint to an outer peripheral side surface of a pad part, even when the pad part has insulation properties.SOLUTION: A powder coating method of a brake pad is provided for coating an outer surface of a back plate 1 except for an interface surface of the pad part 3 and an outer peripheral side surface except for a friction surface of the pad part 3 by a powdered paint discharged from an electrostatic coating gun, in the brake pad 1 of joining the pad part 3 of insulation properties to the metallic back plate 2, and grounds the back plate 2 via the pad part 3 by spraying a conductive agent 11 on the pad part 3, by providing an earth part 10 on a placing surface, by providing the placing surface for placing the pad part 3 of the brake pad 1 downward in a paint booth 4. |
