The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting errors of a bridge traveling crane, which can detect an error which can occur due to function degradation and poor quality of magnetic ports. The present invention provides the apparatus for detecting errors of a bridge traveling crane, having one or more magnetic ports and a port driving unit driving the magnetic ports, which comprises: a voltage/current detection unit detecting reverse voltage and reverse current applied to the magnetic ports when the bridge traveling crane drops; a control unit determining whether an error occurs at the magnetic ports using the reverse voltage and the reverse current detected when the magnetic ports are driven; and an alarm unit outputting an alarm using visual information and auditory information according to a control operation of the control unit in case an error occurs at the magnetic ports. |
