The present invention provides a printing control unit, a printing system, and a printing control method capable of surely performing a desired operation in accordance with the state of a printing device. The present invention comprises: a printing data receiving unit which receives printing data including mode information from a host (20); a state acquiring unit (82) which acquires the state of a printing device (32); a judgment unit (83) which judges whether the mode information and the state of the printing device (32) satisfy performance conditions or not; and a printing device controlling unit which transmits a command generated from the printing data to the printing device (32) while converting the mode of the printing device (32) into a predetermined mode when the judgment unit (83) judges that the performance conditions are satisfied. |
