PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope device which is available with a device which is an energy source to ignition connected thereto, and has means ensuring the safety of a user.SOLUTION: An endoscope device 1 has a device body 2, a cradle 21 and a cradle detecting unit 53. The device body 2 is an intrinsically safe explosion-proof endoscope device body which has a CPU 41 controlling processing for displaying or recording an endoscope image provided in an imager 31 provided at a tip point of an insert part 3, and a battery 11 is connectable in a freely detachable manner. The cradle 21 is a connection unit which is connectable to the device body 2, has a power supply and devices such as PCs are connectable. The cradle detecting unit 53 is provided to the device body 2 and detects that the cradle 21 is connected to the device body 2. When the cradle detecting unit 53 detects connection of the cradle 21 to the device body 2, the CPU 41 limits a part of function of the processing. |
