A device (700, 714, 714', 820) for removing polyps or other tissue from the nose, nasopharynx or paranasal sinus, said device comprising:a flexible catheter (702, 718, 822) having a distal end and a lumen; a flexible tube (704, 722, 830) having an open distal end and a lumen extending therethrough, said flexible tube (704, 722, 830) being rotatably disposed within a lumen of the catheter (702, 718, 822) such that the flexible tube (704, 722, 830) may rotate while the catheter (702, 718, 822) does not rotate; a rotating cutter (706, 724, 832) on the distal end of the flexible tube (704, 722, 830); and an opening formed in the catheter (702, 718, 822) such that matter may be received through the opening and cut by the rotating cutter (706, 724, 832). Systems comprising the device are also disclosed. |
