摘要 The objective of the present invention is to provide a degassing device and an inkjet recording device with which ink leaks can be detected more quickly. The degassing device of the present invention is provided with: a gas-permeable degassing membrane which is provided midway along an ink flow path and one surface of which is in contact with ink in the ink flow path; a vacuum suction unit; a vacuum pathway which connects the surface side of the degassing membrane opposite to said one surface, to the vacuum suction unit, and through which desorbed gas that has been desorbed from the ink and has passed through the degassing membrane, under the sucking action of the vacuum suction unit, flows; and a leak detecting unit which detects leaks of ink into the vacuum pathway. The leak detecting unit is provided with: a detecting unit which detects the state within the vacuum pathway and acquires a measured value corresponding to said state; a comparison value calculating unit which, on the basis of a log of past measured values, calculates a comparison value against which the most recent measured value is to be compared; and an assessing unit which assesses the presence or absence of ink leaks from the degassing membrane, on the basis of the result of the comparison between the most recent measured value and the comparison value.
