Provided is an apparatus authentication method and device, the apparatus authentication method being used for authenticating a target apparatus requesting to execute a target service, and comprising: receiving an apparatus authentication request transmitted by the target apparatus to be authenticated, the apparatus authentication request comprising: an apparatus certificate and first apparatus attribute information of the target apparatus, the apparatus certificate comprising an apparatus fingerprint generated according to second apparatus attribute information; determining the apparatus certificate being the certificate of the target apparatus, if the apparatus fingerprint verifies the effectivity of the apparatus certificates and matches first apparatus attribute information, allowing the target apparatus to execute target service. The present invention enables more reliable apparatus authentication.
