<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cryopreservation apparatus for safely cryopreserving eggs, embryos and the like while improving operability during the cryopreservation. <P>SOLUTION: The cryopreservation apparatus 1 includes: a columnar body part 2 having the base end and the front end in the axial direction; a holding part 3 disposed at the front end of the body part; and a cylindrical member 4 capable of wrapping the holding part. The holding part holds at least one selected from the group consisting of an egg cell, an ovum, an egg and an embryo. The body part, the holding part and the cylindrical member are formed of liquid nitrogen-resistant materials. The cylindrical member is fitted around the body part and can be slid in the axial direction of the body part from a first position, wherein the holding part is exposed, to the second position wherein the holding part is wrapped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
