A cylinder head gasket 160 (210, fig.2) comprising multiple layers including a first layer 170 having a first sealing full bead 175 and a first stopper 190, a second layer 180 having a second sealing full bead 185, and a carrier layer 200 having a carrier layer full bead 205. Wherein the first bead 175 and the second bead 185 are mutually superimposed, and the carrier layer full bead 205 and the stopper 190 are also superimposed. The carrier layer bead 205 when compressed has a maximum line load range between 75 and 125 N/mm and assumes a flat configuration. The invention minimises gasses leaking from the combustion chamber, especially during peak cylinder pressure. The carrier layer bead 205 provides a spring force, even when no load on the stopper is applied. This seals the gap between the cylinder head and the cylinder block immediately after its formation in the combustion chamber perimeter. |
