A tape cassette includes a cassette case, a tape roll housed in the cassette case, an arm portion that guides a tape, and a long hole extending in a left-right direction of the cassette case and formed straddling a center position of the cassette case in the left-right direction, wherein a first distance (a length of the long hole in the left-right direction) is larger than a second distance (a length from an end portion of the tape cassette in an opposite direction to a feed direction of the tape fed in the arm portion, to an end portion of the long hole in the opposite direction), and a center of gravity of the tape cassette is located in a specific area whose both end positions in the left-right direction are the same as those of the long hole, and which extends in a front-rear direction. |

1. A tape cassette comprising;
a generally rectangular housing having a top wall and a bottom wall, the generally rectangular housing defining first, second, third, and fourth corner portions, wherein the fourth and second corner portions are disposed diagonally at opposite ends of the bottom wall; a first hole formed in the fourth corner portion, the first hole extending from the bottom wall toward the top wall; a roller provided in the fourth corner portion; a second hole formed in the second corner portion, the second hole extending from the bottom wall toward the top wall; a double-sided adhesive tape wound around a first tape spool, the first tape spool being positioned in a first area, the first area being at one side with respect to a first straight line connecting the first hole and the second hole; a film tape wound around a second tape spool, the second tape spool being on the first straight line; an ink ribbon wound around a ribbon spool, the ribbon spool being positioned in a second area, the second area being at the other side with respect to the first straight line; a ribbon winding spool configured to wind the ink ribbon, the ribbon winding spool being positioned in the second area; and a tape containment portion positioned around the film tape, the tape containment portion extending from the bottom wall toward the top wall, a part of the tape containment portion being a part of an edge defining the second hole, the tape containment portion comprising an arc-like wall, the arc-like wall accommodating the film tape inside the arc-like wall, the second hole being positioned outside the arc-like wall. |
