PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive coloring composition in order to provide a heat-sensitive recording material which is excellent in coloring property and preservation property. SOLUTION: For this heat-sensitive coloring composition in an organic solvent, a developing compound, a coloring compound which colors by reacting with the developing compound under a heated state, and a polymeric compound are dispersed. In such a heat-sensitive coloring composition, 5-methylresorcinol is contained as the developing compound. Also, this heat-sensitive recording material is constituted by applying the heat-sensitive coloring composition on a supporting body and drying it. |
