The present invention is to provide a wireless charging device and method. The wireless charging device uses a sensor which measures pressure in the wireless charging device, and automatically find the position of a charging coil receiving wireless charging power in accordance with a position of a mobile device, and performs charging, to improve charging efficiency even when the mobile device is not accurately aligned on the wireless charging device. The wireless charging device for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a charging coil which supplies power to a mobile device to charge a battery; a sensor unit which is provided at the upper portion of the charging coil, measures a pressure signal based on the weight of the mobile device, and the pressure signal to a control unit; and the control unit which receives the measured pressure signal from the sensor unit, calculates the position coordinates of the charging coil in accordance with the sensed pressure signal, and activates only the charging coil recognized as the position coordinates. |
