PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device including a power source part that converts a current from an AC power source into a DC current and supplies a power to a halogen heater and can suppress a reduction in the life of the halogen heater, and an image forming apparatus including the fixing device.SOLUTION: A fixing device 5 includes a halogen heater 52 and a power source part. The power source part 8 includes a rectification circuit 81 that converts an AC current from an AC power source into a DC current and supplies a power to the halogen heater 52.
