PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble compound that is applied to an additive of a zincate bath to improve the film thickness uniformity of a plating layer and hardly causes a scorch even if current density is increased during plating.SOLUTION: A water-soluble compound is obtained by reacting a compound represented by following formula (1), a dialkylaminoalkylamine, and a dihalogenated alkyl ether.
