PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a terminal extracting structure in a downsized multipolar connector.SOLUTION: In a housing 3 of a connector 1, terminal insertion holes 11 arranged in parallel according to a number of terminals are provided. Each terminal insertion hole is provided with a band-shaped piece 21 formed by a pair of slits 22 provided on an upper wall portion 12, and the band-shaped piece is provided with an engaging portion 21a which enters between a head portion 2a of the terminal and a gripping portion 2c for gripping an electric wire to be engaged with the head portion 2a so as to prevent the slipping off of a female terminal 2 inserted in the terminal insertion hole. At an upper part of a side wall portion 14 partitioning the adjacent terminal insertion holes in an insulation state, a recessed portion 24 communicating with the slits is provided. A space for accessing a tool to the engaging portion can be ensured by the recessed portion and the slits, so that it is not necessary to expand an interval between the terminal insertion holes for terminal extracting work, so that the narrowing of a pitch of the connector can be promoted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
