The purpose of the present invention is to provide a laundry method which, by using an impact washing mode and a simulated null-gravity washing mode in combination upon the same laundry article, is capable of improving a stain removal effect with a washing action in a comparatively short amount of time. A laundry device comprises as washing steps of an item to be washed: a first washing step of causing the item to be washed to be suspended in a washing fluid which is supplied to a drum and washing said item; and a second washing step of agitating and washing the item to be washed with baffles which are disposed upon an inner wall surface of the drum with a washing fluid of a lower fluid level than the fluid level of the washing fluid which is supplied to the drum in the first washing step. While rotating the drum of the laundry device, the fluid level of the washing fluid is continuously or intermittently increased or decreased between the first washing step and the second washing step. |
