PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side step of a vehicle which can prevent the flow-out of muddy water to a step part from a clearance between an upper end of a vertical wall member and a vehicle body skeleton member.SOLUTION: A side step 15 of a vehicle which is arranged at a lower part of a vehicle body comprises: a plate-shaped step part 21 which is arranged at the lower part of the vehicle body, and hangs out to a sideway of the vehicle body; a vertical wall member 23 which extends upwardly from an end of the step part at a vehicle body side, and whose upper end is arranged in the vicinity of a lower end of the vehicle body skeleton member 35 which extends to a fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle body of the lower part of the vehicle body; and a recessed wall part 41 which is arranged at an upper end of the vertical wall member, recessively arranged so as to surround a periphery of the lower end of the vehicle body skeleton member, and blocks a clearance between the lower end of the vehicle body skeleton member and the upper end of the vertical wall member. By this constitution, since the flow-out of muddy water to the step part from a clearance between an upper end of the vertical wall member and the vehicle body skeleton member can be suppressed by the recessed wall part, the contamination of the step part by the muddy water can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
