The trigger 25 of a portable hand tool is slidable between guide surfaces 28, 30 and has a projection 31 arranged, in the "on" position, to engage behind a shoulder 32 at the end of surface 28, so as to hold the switch closed, Fig. 5, the trigger being, for this purpose, canted by the throw-off spring 38. The switch is opened by upward pressure on part 25b of the trigger. The switch comprises a tumbler 21 pivoted at 23 and carrying contacts 22 arranged to bridge fixed contacts 15, when a spring-pressed ball 36 carried by the trigger moves to the right of the pivots 23. |
