The block (1) has a bearing element (2) made of terracotta or concrete associated to an insulating structure in the form of insulating element (3) made of polystyrene. An inner face of an outer shell (10) and inner faces of side jambs (11) form an open cavity (12) on a rear face (7), a top face (4) and a bottom face (5) of the block. The cavity is partially filled by the structure. Rear face of the element forms a rear face (7) of the block in association with rear faces (14) of the jambs. A portion of the rear face (22) of the element constitutes a flat bottom (20a) of a rear re-entrant (20). An independent claim is also included for a wall structure obtained by assembling construction blocks.
