PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component press-mounting device and a component mounting method capable of reducing the cost by eliminating an expensive protection sheet press mechanism having a complicated structure.SOLUTION: In a state that a protection sheet S is extended in a horizontal direction below a press tool 36, a board 2 mounted with a component 3 is moved beneath the protection sheet S. After positioning the board 2 so that the component 3 is positioned immediately beneath the press tool 36, the protection sheet S is slackened to allow a part of the protection sheet S comes into contact with the upper face of the component 3, the press tool 36 is lowered. The press tool 36 presses the component 3 being interposed by the protection sheet S. |
