PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor in which a motor side connector and a terminal are connected without showing any interference between the members and an installing space can be assured around these connecting members.SOLUTION: An electric compressor 1 comprises, within a housing 2, a compression mechanism 4, a motor 3 for driving the compression mechanism 4 and an inverter for driving and controlling the motor 3. A motor storing part 5c and an inverter storing part 5b are partitioned through a partition wall 5a, a terminal 7 is fixed to an open hole 9 formed at the partition wall 5a, a motor side connector connected to the inverter through a cable and a motor side connector connected to the motor 3 through a cable are connected to the terminal 7 and the inverter is electrically connected to the motor 3 through the terminal 7.
