A reagent for improving the survival rate of CD4 positive T-lymphocytes and an application thereof. A histone deacetylase inhibitor can depress an activation-induced cell death (AICD) process of T-lymphocytes. The histone deacetylase inhibitor comprises trichostatin A and sodium butyrate. A combination of the histone deacetylase inhibitor and an anti-CTLA-4 antibody has a synergistic anti-tumor effect.
