PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up a write of data voltage.SOLUTION: The electro-optic device has: a selection circuit for selecting at least one data line from k data lines that is the destination for supply of the video signal being supplied to a signal line; a scanning line drive circuit for selecting at least one scanning line from among a plurality of scanning lines; and a control circuit for controlling the selection circuit so that all of the k data lines are selected in a first and a second precharge period, among periods in which one scanning line is selected, which precedes the application of a data voltage corresponding to a time-division-multiplexed video signal, applying the voltage of prescribed polarity in the first precharge period, and applying the voltage of the same polarity as the data voltage in the second precharge period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
