The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for providing information according to conditions and a method for controlling the same and, more particularly, to a mobile terminal for providing a user with information determined according to conditions such as user location, time, and category and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a user input unit for receiving a user command; a location information module for acquiring the current location according to the command; a control unit for extracting at least one first candidate existed within a preset distance from the current location among the candidates and extracting at least one second candidate, which is currently operating, among the first candidates; and a display unit for displaying the second candidates according to the control of the control unit. When the user sets a first condition through the user input unit, the control unit extracts at least one third candidate, which satisfies the first condition, among the second candidates and controls the display unit to display the third candidates. |
