PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of suppressing damage of a medium, and further to provide an image reading device.SOLUTION: A recording device 11 comprises: a recording section 23 performing printing onto a sheet P transported along a transportation path; a register roller pair 47 being disposed closer to an upstream side than the recording section 23 in the transportation path and capable of correcting an inclination of the sheet P against a transportation direction by abutting the sheet P; an immediately-preceding transportation roller pair 42 and a first transportation roller pair 72 being disposed closer to the upstream side than the register roller pair 47 in the transportation path and transporting the sheet P; and a control section 79 controlling rotation operation of individual roller pairs 42 and 72. The control section 79 stops rotation of the first transportation roller pair 72 and subsequently stops rotation of the immediately-preceding transportation roller pair 42 when stopping transportation of the sheet P after an end portion of a downstream side in the transportation direction in the sheet P passes through the immediately-preceding transportation roller pair 42 in a state of rotation of the register roller pair 47 being stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
