摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller compaction machine and a control method that enable an accurate position information of the roller compaction machine to be obtained, thereby allowing an operator of the roller compaction machine to precisely recognize a movement situation and a locus of movement of the machine, for preventing occurrences of insufficient or excessive roller compaction that exceeds or falls short of a prescribed number of rotation for roller compaction.SOLUTION: A roller compaction machine 100 includes a position information acquisition device for obtaining position information from any two of the following: a positioning satellite 200; a total station 300; and an inertial sensor 1A installed on the roller compaction machine, as well as a satellite information receiver 3 that receives information from the positioning satellite 200, a position information signal receiver 4 that receives information from the total station 300, a receiver 5 that receives a signal from the inertial sensor 1A, and a controller 20 having a function to identify a position based on the position information obtained by the information receivers, and to determine a locus of movement. The position and the locus of movement of the roller compaction machine 100 are determined based on the position information obtained by the position information receivers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
