摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optometer capable of catching rapidly the other eye after executing measurements of ophthalmic characteristics of one eye even when focusing accuracy to the eye to be examined is coarse.SOLUTION: The optometer includes: a controlling and calculating part 110 which controls a CCD 44 so that the image of a front eye part can be obtained after a measurement of one eye, the left eye is finished, and controls a driving part 30 so that an apparatus body is moved in the direction from the left eye to the right eye; and a displaying part 13 for displaying the image of the front eye part focused into an image on the CCD 44. The controlling and calculating part 110 includes: an extracting part 110A for extracting the pixels existing in longitudinal row regions between a pixel row in the longitudinal direction existing at the center of both longitudinal side parts and the pixel rows existing on the longitudinal side parts in the right and left directions of the CCD 44; a brightness value integrating part 110B for integrating the brightness of the pixels extracted by the extracting part; and a determining part 110C for determining whether the right eye is imaged on the CCD 44 by determining the change in the brightness by performing the integration by the brightness value integrating part during moving the apparatus body.
